The series of the works features a combination of rounded shapes and geometric forms. The rounded shapes are inspired by the minds and bodies of women; meanwhile the geometric shapes represent the norms and standards in society. Each of them would feature the contrasting interaction of geometric and humanistic forms, a comment on the malleability of the minds of women, and the delicate equilibrium between individual and society.
My artwork often contends with the balance between the self and society; in this case, my sculptural series takes on the autonomy of women, using three dimensional mediums as an entrypoint into discussions about the collective ownership and dispersal of female agency in the modern age.
